I don't think I'll go with that in the bedroom, but I'll definitely consider it for the living room. I'd probably go with a beige or tan backer fabric (just enough to fully block the light in the evening if I want to watch a movie or something.

But yeah, I could easily sew a simple hem on a plain fabric and glue/sew it onto a decorative bamboo blind! It might also make it last longer, since it would make it more sturdy.JChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09831757279235998895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4537355151674491939.post-21001017980058900482012-06-14T20:19:52.350-04:002012-06-14T20:19:52.350-04:00You can totally have the bamboo AND the light bloc...You can totally have the bamboo AND the light blocking effect at the same time. I bought all bamboo blinds for my own house, and then realized that people can still see in, and also, our bedroom was WAY too bright in the morning. So for privacy, I lined the back of the livingroom blinds with broadcloth, and the bedroom blinds with blackout fabric. I hand stitched mine on, but a spray glue would be easy peasy!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03751850022920289803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4537355151674491939.post-84914741419135808182012-06-04T06:05:00.897-04:002012-06-04T06:05:00.897-04:00@Mark - yes, and his bedroom looks like it is arra...@Mark - yes, and his bedroom looks like it is arranged based on feng shui.

What is our favorite furniture store which you buy furniture from?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07378109718124908496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4537355151674491939.post-10404808139689010842012-06-02T08:38:07.186-04:002012-06-02T08:38:07.186-04:00Congratulations — your bedroom is looking very sma...Congratulations — your bedroom is looking very smart, and the array of clocks looks very much at home. I like the look of the Roman shades within the frame; the first example that's a little in front of the frame doesn't seem to fit.

I notice we both have the same kind of basket in our closets for laundry. A nice look, too, I think.

Your place is really starting to smile back at you!

MarkMark D. I've made them a couple of times and it's fairly straight-forward. And there's lots of places online where you can get info about how to make and install them.Sharon Kwilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00204757096377140896noreply@blogger.com
