I was never that crazy for the shades that came with the fixture (and are slightly mismatched). The only thing I prefer about the old shades is that they're genuine antiques, as opposed to these newer shades. I do, however, prefer the shape of the new ones. They seem to suit the shape of the chandelier better.

I'd say it was 2.50$ well spent.
